The expansive universe of World of Warcraft is about to get even broader skies with the introduction of global Dragonriding in the forthcoming update titled Seeds of Renewal. Arriving on January 16 with Patch 10.2.5, players are gearing up for the thrill of zooming across familiar territories from an entirely new vantage point.

Dragonriding, initially unveiled in the Dragonflight expansion, took the community by storm, becoming a beloved feature almost instantly. Recognizing its popularity, World of Warcraft developers are enhancing this mode of transportation, allowing players to take their dragons beyond the borders of the Dragon Isles and across Azeroth's classic landscapes.

With the update imminent, a captivating video has been released by World of Warcraft, offering a glimpse of the soaring adventures ahead. The video entails adventurers and their draconic companions soaring over the vast expanse of the Barrens and the haunting Plaguelands amidst the urban sprawl of cities like Stormwind and Orgrimmar. The highlight of the flight was a majestic sweep by the towering Sword of Sargeras. The preview not only showcases the velocity of Dragonriding compared to the traditional flight but also breathes new life into the old zones with this rapid mode of movement.

Upgrades to Dragonriding in Patch 10.2.5:
- Dragonriding becomes available in all of World of Warcraft's zones where flying has been previously accessible and activated.
- Prior unlocking of Dragonriding and glyph collection on a single character is a requirement for system utilization.
- A minimum character level of 60 is necessary for engaging in Dragonriding within the older world parts.
- Speed for Dragonriding is set at 85% of the full capacity while outside the Dragon Isles—this is still over double the pace of standard flying mounts in World of Warcraft.

The enhancements to Dragonriding serve as a prelude to even broader advancements in the game. With The War Within, Dragonriding evolves into Dynamic Flying, embracing a wider array of flying mounts and integrating Dragonriding's traits and capabilities without the need to gather glyphs. This new Dynamic Flying will debut in the pre-patch phase of The War Within, which is on the calendar for the early summertime.

Additionally, The War Within aims to position Dragonflight as the new players' default leveling route. Considering the Dragon Isles' vast expanse and early access to Dragonriding in the storyline, speculations arise that the feature could become unlockable as soon as level 30 or potentially at level 10 following the expansion's activation.

While the exact details remain a mystery until we're closer to The War Within's release, what remains clear is that exploring Azeroth by air will be forever transformed.
