Bed Wars

Bed Wars multiplayer PvP will help you out! In this game, you fight against up to 16 players on gorgeously designed multiplayer maps with destroyable environments. The word “bed” in the title was surprising for me too, and it appeared that my team has to destroy the beds of other teams to win! Currently, Bed Wars is an Android exclusive available only on Google Play, but keep checking the App Store as it may change soon. 

Plot – 9/10

The synopsis of Bed Wars is simple, but the gameplay is really immersive! You are offered to create, name, and customize a character, using the editor in the menu. After that, you are ready to join the fight in one of 4 teams of 4 players each. Independently of what map you choose, each team spawns on separate islands that aren’t connected with each other. That’s where the fun starts! Your mission is to delegate duties amongst the members of your team and get ready to mine, build, and fight. Every island produces resources for you to collect. Besides the building materials, you will find gold, diamonds, and iron that serve as a currency for purchasing tools in stores scattered around the island. You have to be quick to build a bridge faster than your opponents to go and destroy their beds to switch off respawning for the entire team. This doesn’t guarantee victory, though. There are 2 more teams left to fight! 

Controls – 9/10

Bed Wars controls are very similar to that in Minecraft, so it’s quite easy to learn. However, you have to be patient to master aiming as it’s a bit clumsy. If your touchscreen isn’t responsible enough, you can go to the settings and adjust the sensitivity manually. Building and running around are made very simple, but you should be careful to avoid falling from the island! 

Design – 8/10

It could be a perfect design if it wasn’t entirely copied from Minecraft. Nevertheless, it’s a qualitative copy that looks and feels like an original concept. In addition, the designs of characters are a bit different, as well as the style of icons and materials. 

In-Game Purchases

Bed Wars is a free-to-play experience, so you can jump in right away. The game is supported by short video ads that are not too frequent and skippable. If you cannot stand them, purchase the ad-free version. Besides, you can get various funny cosmetics and other stuff in the in-game store. The prices are the same as in any other game.
