Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Sells 1.76 Million Units, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD Hits 1.19 Million

Nintendo has seen a string of successful titles with games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet making waves. However, attention now shifts to its newer releases for the Switch platform. In the company's Q1 fiscal year 2025 financial report, Nintendo shared intriguing sales figures for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD.

By the end of June, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door had sold an impressive 1.76 million copies. This remake of the beloved 2004 Nintendo GameCube game received positive critical acclaim at its launch, as highlighted in its accolades trailer.

In a shorter timeframe, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD achieved remarkable success, selling 1.19 million units within just three days of its release on June 27th. This game is a remake of the 2013 Nintendo 3DS title developed by Next Level Games, and its ongoing performance will be something to monitor as time goes on.

Additionally, Nintendo shared that Princess Peach: Showtime! has also performed well, having sold over 1.3 million units since its launch on March 22nd, a notable increase from 1.22 million units sold by the end of March.
