My Talking Tom review
At last, the popular old My Talking Tom game has been redesigned! In the new version, you can have fun with Tom the cat in several rooms, and take care of it like if it was a real pet. Of course, in the new game, Tom still can talk back to you, hit himself, and do other fun tricks. Customize your Talking Tom and enjoy the endless Tamagochi-style game.
Plot – 9/10
In this game, you take care of a digital pet cat. Your daily chores will include feeding, taking it to the toilet, washing it, and doing many other things to amuse Tom. Similarly to its friend Talking Angela, Tom likes dressing up. You can let him try on loads of different outfits, including costumes, t-shirts, pants, glasses, hats, and some other accessories. Depending on the activity that you choose, Tom will go to a dedicated room. His flat includes the leaving room, wardrobe, toilet, kitchen, bedroom, and even a classroom. The only thing that I disliked about the content, it that the cat is too humanized. If your children play My Talking Tom, you should explain to them that sweets are harmful to real cats and wearing human-like clothes is not really comfortable for them.
Also, there are several arcade mini-games to earn some extra credits or watch cartoons about Talking Tom and his friends, including Angela, Hank, Jim, and others.
Controls – 10/10
Playing My Talking Tom is as simple as ABC. There are several buttons for performing basic tasks, including food, toilet, sleep, and fun. Every button includes an indicator that turns red when the time for action comes. You have to press the button to go to the right room and help Tom do what he needs to feel happy.
Design – 10/10
The updated My Talking Tom has slightly improved graphics and more animations. Depending on a season that you’re playing, the interior of rooms in Tom’s flat may change to match the style of holidays and let you celebrate while playing.
In-Game Purchases
You can download My Talking Tom for free on Google Play and the App Store. However, it includes many paid options and content. You can purchase a monthly subscription for $4,99 to remove ads, get an unlimited amount of power for playing mini-games along with 4 free retries for each game, and some other bonuses. All other cosmetic items and features are sold separately. Still, you can achieve all the items from the store for free as well. For that, you have to watch ads, play games, and complete various tasks.
