File Transfer review

Being productive doesn't necessarily have to mean that you try to do more and more every day. You can improve your productivity a lot just by doing little things that make up your day just a bit more effective. These things can be anything, including transferring files between different devices. That is where apps like File Transfer come in handy. Let's look at this app closer and find out if it saves a considerable amount of time.

Features

The developers claim their app to be the easiest and fastest way to share files and folders between mobile and other devices, including tablets and personal computers. The free version is quite useful: you can send 5 MB files between different platforms, including Mac, Windows, iPhone, and so on. Of course, the app supports Android, too – but you still have to buy the Premium version for full functionality on this operating system.

However, this seems to be the only feature of the app. File Transfer does not have any means to store files in a cloud, and once you've shared them, you have to use those devices if you want to use the same files. And even this single features don't work properly. Many users report about the app not working at all or having certain connectivity problems. Even the free version seems to be just an ad for the Pro version or some other apps, so it turns out to be almost useless.

Ease of Use

The app is very easy to use: there are no additional features and a limited amount of available options to choose from. Basically, you just choose the files you want to share, and then you need to select the device you want to send them to. You don't need to look for devices, File Transfer finds them itself, but only if those devices share the same WiFi network. But the process doesn't seem to work on the free version of this app, and maybe purchasing the Pro version can solve this problem.

Design

The simplistic approach to the app manifests itself in its design, too. The interface is as simple as it could possibly be: it's just a simple file manager that allows you to choose folders and files on some device. But it's pretty useful when you don't need anything but to send a file from one device to any other computer or tablet without using Bluetooth options and so on.

Pricing

File Transfer has only one major feature, and even that feature seems to work rather poorly when it comes to using the free version of this app. That means you should think twice about purchasing the full version, because it doesn't seem to improve in that case, as well. If you don't need to share huge files often, the free version of this app may prove effective enough.

Okay

While being simple and easy to use, File Transfer fails to provide a stable and reliable tool to share your files between various devices. But you still can use it for free, if there's no better alternative.
